I first began consciously channeling in 2005 when I switched from a career in financial and legal publishing to one of palm and tarot reading. I was at that stage in life where I felt keenly I wanted to give back to society and contribute to the well-being of humanity instead of a corporation’s bottom line. Having studied Chinese and Economics at Georgetown University, with an MBA from New York University and having a corporate career in China and Hong Kong, I never imagined that giving back to humanity would entail my channeling a book and writing a blog. The shift from corporate life to a more “alternative” one was not as crazy as it first seems. I had been reading palms since I was 16 and tarot since the age of about 20. However, it was just something I studied and practiced for fun. Over the years, I realized I was very good at palm and tarot readings and enjoyed a high degree of accuracy on events and timings. It took me a while to realize that my accuracy had less to do with my ability to remember palmistry books that I studied while living in Hong Kong and more to do with my intuition and ability to channel. I quickly realized that the best readings I gave were the ones in which I got out of the way and listened to what the “guides” were telling me about the person in front of me. For the most part I am clairaudient but sometimes the “guides” would show me a line in a person’s hand and the line or a particular marking in the line would literally light up in neon blue or green and flash at me (I guess they wanted to make sure I didn’t miss it!). After I discussed the meaning of the flashing line or marking with the person everything would go back to normal. Reading palms and tarot showed me that there are non-physical beings “out there” who want to help us live better and more fulfilling lives if we will only listen to and think about what they have to say. Then, in late 2007, I began channeling a book, A New Dawn Awaits, right after my move to Dubai. As I was “writing” this book, I would often ask who was giving me this information. I always heard the same names – Uriel/Uriah and Clarissa. While I do not know exactly who Clarissa is, I did look up Uriel/Uriah and learned that they are the masculine and feminine aspects of the archangel responsible for the Arts and bringing understanding – seemed appropriate to me! The only thing I can tell you about Clarissa is that she is the most loving, supportive, protective and nurturing energy I have ever felt. The book has since been completed and will be published in September 2010. After finishing A New Dawn Awaits, Uriel/Uriah and Clarissa continued to float periodically into my consciousness with words of wisdom, little kernels of truth that resonated deeply within my soul.
