Foolish Notions is about loneliness and hope, misunderstanding and realization and about two people who are just meant to be together despite pride and misconceptions. It is sweet romance with an edge of sexual tension. Of course the two lovers reunite. But that’s what you want to see in a romance. It is an enjoyable book to escape into for a couple of hours.
Foolish Notions is a thoughtful, well-written book that I heartily endorse. It is compassionate without being melodramatic and romantic while keeping true to the central theme of the story: recovering that which is, even temporarily, lost.
